Best Video Game Music: Emotional Music 2!

Best Video Game Music: Emotional Music 2!

Hey Legendary Looters, time to check out some more of my favourite music in video game history. These are all my opinion, but I am open to hearing new music that I may have missed.  The only rules I’m following is 1 franchise per list and no song from a previous list can be used. So in no particular order, here’s my list!.

To The Moon – Everything’s Alright

This is one of the most emotional songs I’ve ever heard. I’m not an emotional person in general but this song moved me, It’s so beautifully sung and the simplistic nature of the overall song is awesome, since it’s jsut singing and piano. Definitely an amazing track and is my actual top spot for emotional music.

Undertale – His Theme

Undertale is an amazing game, maybe even the best independant game out there and the music is what drew me in. I think music is just as big of a part and any other part of a game, it can save a game from mediocrity but in this case it just pushed an amazing game even further and this is a really nice build up and even sounds a little bit christmassy.

Mass Effect 3 – An End Once and For All

The Mass Effect didn’t really appeal to me personally because I’m not that into Sci-Fi but I did listen to the soundtrack and it was really amazing and made me wanna try it out a little bit. While this isn’t my favourite song from the franchise, it definitely has something special and endearing about it.

Silent Hill – Blood Tears

I found this song under 2 names but this seemed to be the most common. It’s an eerily relaxing song, making it quite hard to describe to someone who hasn’t heard it. It’s a very simple track, which I find is the case for a lot of emotional music. I guess less is more when it comes to invoking emotion.

Final Fantasy XIII – Lightning’s Theme

Final Fantasy XIII got very mixed reviews but I personally could love it as it’s own game. Sure, the linear nature does detract from it’s place as a Final Fantasy game or even as an RPG in general. But if you just pay attention to what is is, without preconcieved notions of what it should be, You’ll enjoy it a lot more. While this isn’t the most emotional track out there, I can still appreciate the subtlety that suits Lightning.

I hope you all liked my list, next time we’ll be taking a look at Iconic Themes 2! Till next time!.
