Top 5 Games: Releasing in October

Top 5 Games: Releasing in October.

Many new, exciting games are being released soon and you might have missed some announcements, so I will be updating you on the top 5 games being released each month! Here are the top 5 games that will be released October 2015:

5.  The Legend of Zelda: Triforce Heroes

Triforce Heroes

Triforce Heroes was announced this year at E3. Though I’m not an avid Zelda gamer myself, many people are excited for this game. Similar to the Four Sword series, there are two other links (red and blue) as well as the usual green Link. Set in the Kingdom of Hytopia, the three heroes work together to lift the fashion curse placed upon Princess Styla. The game will allow online co-op and a single-player mode where you will be able to switch between the three links during gameplay. The three Links can jump onto one another and form an adorable totem. If you like cute-looking games or just the Zelda series in general, this should be on your list!

Available on Nintendo 3DS from October 23rd (NA and EU)

4. Guitar Hero Live

Guitar Hero Live

Guitar Hero Live lets you become a real-life rock star or as close to one with real crowds and bandmates that will react to your performance. Accompanied with a new controller, the experience is as real as it has ever been so far in a game. The guitar controller is described to be “easier to play, harder to master” with it’s new 6-button layout. The game has a new game mode that allows you to play along with music videos of a variety of genres. The tracklist is extensive, including the likes of Green Day, Bob Dylan and Carrie Underwood. If you want to see the tracklist for Guitar Hero Live (and Rock Band 4) as of August, click here to see Matthew’s article!

Available on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and Wii U from October 23rd (EU)

3. The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth

Binding Of Isaac

This new DLC for Rebirth will add “100+ hours” of gameplay with a whole new game mode, Greed, which focuses on risk/reward and has new endings. The new download has over 25 new enemies and 8 new bosses, bringing a new level of difficulty to the creepy-cute indie game. You will have more challenges to complete and secrets to unlock along with a new character to play with, Lilith. If you loved Rebirth, this DLC will keep you busy, especially if you want to unlock a new alternate ending.

Available for pre-order on Steam now for £4.75, releasing on Halloween (October 30th).

2. Assassin’s Creed Syndicate

Assassin's Creed

Assassin’s Creed returns with a new story set in London during the Industrial Revolution, this time following protagonists: Jacob Frye and (for the first time in the main series) a female character, Evie Frye. Syndicate will allow you to interchange between the two twins who are fighting to take back the city that they find is being controlled by the Templars. Similar to the other Assassin’s Creed games, you will interact with familiar faces such as famous novelist, Charles Dickens. The game has many new features such as the ability to hold the reins to carriages during a chase down the streets of London and ziplining between buildings. The game will not include a multiplayer mode, which has lead to a controversial argument between fans of the game. Personally, however, I’m most excited for this game and if you love stealth-based exploration games, you should be excited too.

Available on Xbox One and PS4 from October 23rd and Windows from November 19th.

1. Halo 5: Guardians

Halo 5

Halo 5: Guardians continues the story of Master Chief with many new and returning characters. This sequel to Halo 4 was teased at E3 in 2013 and was officially announced at last year. Guardian introduces Spartan abilities which has some new features and some from previous Halo games, it will be available to all players throughout the game unlike armour abilities. It will include features such as a new “smart scope” mechanism with scoped weapons which will allow aim down sight similar to other shooters. Guardians will not have multiplayer or campaign mode in split screen and won’t support LAN parties, but you will be able to play co-op campaign mode with other players through the LIVE Gold membership. Halo 5: Guardians will be a must play for you Halo and FPS fans.

Available on Xbox One from October 27th

Hopefully, now you are up to date on the top 5 games coming out next month and you’re all ready to set aside hours to play some awesome looking games! This list was chosen by what I think are the most popular games. However, I know I have missed out plenty so if you have any other games you’re excited about then share them through the comments or on Twitter/Facebook! If you like this style, I might post more “Top 5 Games” lists on other topics. Until next time!
